Coming up: Raw Foods- an un-cooking class!

August 20th, 2-5pm.

Its hot out, who wants to spend time standing over the stove? In this class participants will learn how to prepare local produce in its simplest, most nutritious form. Dishes may include marinated kale salad with cherry tomatoes, raw zucchini pasta with sundried tomato-"cream" sauce, curried carrot salad, and a raw peach crumble. 2011 Class Series Calendar

Saturday April 16th, 2-5 pm:  Fantastic wild edibles.  Learn how to cook with delicious wild foods such as fiddlehead ferns, ramps and dandelion greens.

Saturday May 21st, 2-5 pm: Feasting on asparagus, rhubarb and spring greens.  Our local offerings may be limited but the possibilities for cooking these delicious spring items are endless.

Saturday June 18th, 2-5 pm: Early summer favorites.  Strawberries, baby beets, garlic scapes, spring onions and a wide variety of exciting greens and herbs will be our palate for creating delicious, healthy dishes.

Saturday July 16th, 2-5 pm:  Things really start heating up with local produce!  An abundance of flavors and colors get our creative juices flowing.

Saturday August 20th, 2-5 pm: Raw foods: and un-cooking class.  Learn how to prepare local produce in its simplest, most nutritious form.

Classes will continue monthly, the 3rd Saturday of the month from 2-5 through December 2011
